So, I'm new here. I came here because I wanted to find a safe place where I could both post and read fan fiction without having to worry about running into suggestive content.

....I don't know much else to say, since I'm new here, and don't know a lot about this community yet, and I can be shy sometimes......(I also blabber a lot if you hadn't noticed.)

So, hi, and see you around!

How in the world did I not know about this comm until today?! What a brilliant idea! And I see several names I recognize here, too. :) *waves*
So hi, I'm Rose, and I'm a theology nerd. :D I've been a believer for as long as I can remember, and I've been fic-inclined for almost as long, though I didn't know that it had a name or that other people wrote those kinds of stories until I was a senior in high school. The result was Monkeefans for Christ, which has since grown to include a Monkees devotional and a fairly extensive archive of my own fic. I also post on my fic journal, [livejournal.com profile] sarosefics, as well as FF.n and (occasionally) Many Paths to Tread. The main fandoms I write for are The Monkees, Lord of the Rings, Stargate Atlantis, Hogan's Heroes, and Supernatural, though I'm certainly open to writing for others, especially in crossovers. (Fair warning: Some of my SPN fics contain *mild* profanity, but not even as vulgar as in the show, and there's definitely no taking the Lord's name in vain.) I view my fic audience as a mission field, so I do my best to write stories that stay in line with my faith, even if they need to play with heterodox ideas for the sake of the story, and provide "an example of the believers" even when they're not openly evangelistic.
If you are in the mood for openly evangelistic stories, however, here are a handful of my strongest:

Monkees: Were You There? -- A mysterious invitation sends the Monkees back in time for a Passover that will change their lives... and all of history. (PG for period violence)

LOTR: Abjured -- In which the Witch-king of Angmar meets his Maker. (PG-13 for violence and thematic darkness; far darker than my norm, but for a purpose)

SGA: The Leap -- Post-"Kindred," Rodney finds himself with questions that science can't answer... what's a physicist to do? (PG)

SPN: Harrowed -- Dean says yes in Hell--but not to Alastair. He is rescued--but not by Castiel. Someone unexpected is waiting for him down there... and that makes all the difference. (PG for violence)

Check out "The Florida Writer," at http://flawriter.com. I started writing only three months ago and have been doing outstanding. I started out writing for a local newspaper, then two, then three, etc. After that, I hooked up with a couple of local magazine offers. Then I nailed a couple of jobs writing online. Now I have my hands full. Patience and persistence is finally paying off. Feel free to write me and I always respond back. Also, please comment on my site and I might post it on "The Florida Writer". Be gentle with the comments, because I'm still new at this. If you have a good writing site, I can even link your site to mine for maximum exposure and vice versa. Thanks, enjoy my site and good luck in your writing endeavors as well. -Charles

Hello, everyone!

I'm Shay, and I met Laugher online a while back and we struck up a friendship - one I'm proud and very happy to be part of!

I myself and not Christian, but I was very impressed with Laughter and her beliefs, outlook and attitude and can only hope to achieve a level of happiness and acceptance of the lives given to us and the way we go about living them that is even half as good as her own!

That said, I wanted to contribute to this community in some way and am very happy to be able to do so with some of my stories. Laughter's right - if sharing our creativity brings people of similar interests and beliefs - or not! - together and even a little closer to God and His wonders, we've done well!

Here is my first addition to this wonderful fanfic community:

Dark Angel fan fic, rated G
Angst, Romance - Logan's POV, M/A 'ship
Title: Mr. Golden Deal

Summary: Logan never thought he had anything in common with Alec...until now.

Enjoy!

I don't know if anyone besides me actually saw this before, lol, but if you did, you may have noticed that the look has improved somewhat, lol. :)

I'm still very new to live journal, and so far, it has still been taking me three or four tries, and a lot of experimenting, to actually figure out what I am doing, but that's better than being totally lost, lol.

If you're reading this, I know the selection of stories and catagories is still very small, (yes, that's a bit of an understatement at the moment ;) ) but Lord willing, I'll be able to get my stories up soon, and if others add their's as well, then who knows, maybe someone out there will read them, and be touched by them in some way.  If just one person can come to know the Lord because of this, then I think it's worth it. :)

I'm not really sure how big this community is going to get, whether I'll be the only one posting or if others will be inspired to post as well, but I wanted to use this first post to dedicate this community to the Lord.  Really it belongs to Him, I'm just the manual labor. :)

God is the beginning and the end of every story, and I'll just have to wait and see how He writes this one. :)

-Laughter
